Product Description
The Belt Lifting Conveyor uses a continuous belt as both the carrying and traction medium to vertically or steeply elevate materials. Depending on the application, the belt can be equipped with buckets (for bulk materials), corrugated sidewalls with cleats (for steep-angle conveying of granular materials), or a flat belt with flights for unit loads.
This system is composed of a drive unit, head and tail pulleys, a reinforced belt, a conveyor frame, and optional feeding/discharge chutes. For bucket-type elevators, the belt drives buckets that scoop up materials at the bottom and discharge via centrifugal or gravity force at the top. For steep-angle elevators, the belt itself carries materials upward with the help of sidewalls and cleats to prevent spillage.

Applications
Belt conveyor elevators are widely used across industries for the vertical or steep-angle transport of materials:
Bulk Material Handling: Coal, cement, gravel, sand, fertilizer, grain, feed, and other granular or powder materials
Food & Agriculture: Grains, seeds, dry produce, animal feed
Mining & Quarrying: Ore, crushed stone, aggregates
Chemical & Construction: Cement, clay, dry chemical powders
Industrial Manufacturing: Light unit loads (cartons, totes) on inclined flat-belt elevators
Common Configurations:
Bucket belt elevators: Suitable for vertical lifting of free-flowing powders, granules, and small lumps
Corrugated sidewall belt elevators: Suitable for steep-angle (up to 90°) conveying of bulk materials with higher density (up to 2.5 t/m³)
Standard inclined belt elevators: Suitable for unit loads (cartons, bags) at moderate inclines
Our Advantages
| Feature | Description |
| High capacity & efficiency | Achieves high throughput with low drive power; TD series offers nearly double the capacity of older D-type models |
| Large elevating height | Standard up to 40m; heavy-duty steel cord belt designs achieve significantly greater heights |
| Reliable & smooth operation | Robust belt construction with high tensile strength ensures stable, low-maintenance performance |
| Flexible configuration | Four bucket types (Q/H/ZD/SD) available for different material characteristics; supports both centrifugal and mixed discharge modes |
| Durable materials | Belts available in rubber (standard, heat-resistant, oil-resistant), PVC, PU, and steel cord for extreme tensile requirements |
| Easy installation & maintenance | Simple structure with modular components; belts can be pre-stressed for fast installation |
| Wide temperature range | Standard belts handle up to 60°C; heat-resistant options handle up to 200°C for high-temperature materials |
| Customizable | Elevating height, capacity, belt type, and bucket configuration can all be tailored to specific needs |
FAQ
Q1: What materials can a belt conveyor elevator handle?
Bucket-type elevators handle free-flowing powders, granules, and small lumps with bulk density ≤ 1.5 t/m³ (e.g., grain, coal, cement, fertilizer). Steep-angle belt elevators handle materials up to 2.5 t/m³. For higher density or sticky materials, other designs may be recommended.
Q2: What is the maximum elevating height?
Standard belt bucket elevators reach up to 40m. For greater heights, reinforced steel cord belts can achieve 80m or more, with some specialized designs reaching up to 130m.
Q3: What bucket types are available?
Four types are available: Q (shallow) — fine, free-flowing materials; H (arc-bottom) — cohesive materials; ZD (medium-deep) — granular materials; SD (deep) — heavy, large-particle materials.
Q4: What temperature range can the belt handle?
Standard rubber belts handle up to 60°C. For materials between 60°C and 200°C, heat-resistant rubber belts should be used.
Q5: Can it handle inclined as well as vertical conveying?
Yes. Steep-angle belt elevators with corrugated sidewalls and cleats can operate at inclines from 0° to 90° (optimal performance below 70°). Standard flat-belt elevators are used for moderate incline angles.
Q6: What is the difference between a bucket elevator and a steep-angle belt elevator?
Bucket elevators use buckets mounted on the belt to scoop and vertically lift bulk materials. Steep-angle belt elevators use a belt with corrugated sidewalls and transverse cleats to carry materials up steep inclines without buckets — better for materials with higher density or moisture content.
Q7: How reliable is the belt drive?
Rubber belts offer high tensile strength and long service life. Optional steel cord belts provide even greater strength and durability for heavy-duty, high-tensile applications.
